FAQ

Questions before you book

Something else on your mind? Call (828) 555-0142 or email hello@mapleandpaw.example.

Do you see rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets?

Yes. Dr. Nakamura sees rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters and chinchillas. We don't treat birds or reptiles, but we're happy to point you to someone who does.

What will my first visit cost?

A wellness exam is $68. Vaccines start at $28 each, and your vet will tell you which ones your pet needs and what they cost before giving them.

My pet is sick. Can you see us today?

Usually, yes. We hold same-day sick appointments every weekday. Call us or book a sick visit online. After hours, on Sundays and on holidays, go to Blue Ridge Animal Emergency Hospital, open 24/7 at (828) 555-0187.

Do you take pet insurance?

We work with every pet insurance company. You pay at the visit, and we send your records and claim paperwork the same day so you're reimbursed quickly.

Do I need records from my old vet?

They help us avoid repeating vaccines. Bring them along, or ask your previous clinic to email records@mapleandpaw.example before your visit.

Can I change or cancel my appointment?

Of course. Reply to your confirmation text or give us a call. We ask for 24 hours' notice when you can, so we can offer the time to another pet.
